What Is 23 Academy?
At 23 Academy, we are a team of qualified, passionate, and dedicated coaches who are committed to helping players reach their full potential. We create a positive and challenging environment where players can develop their technical ability, game intelligence, and confidence. Through 1:1 coaching, 1:2 training, small group sessions, weekly development programs, finishing clinics, fitness clubs, and specialist goalkeeper training, we ensure every player has the opportunity to improve and grow. Our goal is simple—to inspire, develop, and push players to be the best they can be.
Why 23 Academy?
Founded by ex-professional footballer Kyle Bennett, who made over 400 professional appearances for clubs including Wolves, Doncaster Rovers, Portsmouth, Bristol Rovers, Swindon Town, and Bradford City, this included 3 promotions and playing in the Championship, League 1 and League 2. 23 Academy was created to inspire the next generation of players in Telford and beyond.
Our mission is to give back to the local community by coaching grassroots players and helping them chase their dreams—just as we had the privilege of living ours. With first-hand knowledge of the professional game, we understand exactly what it takes to succeed. From the technical demands to the right environment, we pass on invaluable insights to help young players develop, grow, and reach their full potential.
The name 23 Academy comes from the number 23—a shirt Kyle proudly wore for most of his career. It represents hard work, dedication, and the journey.
